Des Vouex Road Central on a Saturday is the greyest day one can spend.
All banks along DVRC street are fully opened with less than 5 colleagues intoxicated with alcohol from LKF last night.
It's so lazy and slow that banking speed in central on saturdays is at least 14.5 times slower than Jenjarom malaysia. Take a tour to cafe de coral and maxim and you'll realize 90 percent of the patrons are bank staff who rotate among themselves to enjoy brunch.
Wet, sticky and damnpy DVRC gives me mood swings. I come to office, put on my face and stare blank at the computer. Coming to work on weekdays is like wearing a 003 condom but on saturdays it's like having 2 extra safe ultimeta durex covering my ass as well. Thank God for access to livejournal I can tell you my current state of mind.
Ever since my graduation, I came to realize there's nothing important in this world.
It's so sad that I can only see 3 possible outcomes for my life.
1) Work hard, get stuck in your comfort zone, and let the world fuck me till death.
2) Do business, make shit loads of $$$, fuck the world and die.
3) Live with little means like "Into the Wild" and die miserably when I run dry.
Of course I have considred other options like leeching on my family or being's some rich chick's bitch - but hell no my dicky won't allow that.
This is one of the days when I sit down and get my priorities straight.
Maybe I should slap you in the ass and give everyone a wake up "ZAP"
DVRC is not the end of the road for me.

现在跟以前比在银行工作的办公主任，我觉得是天地相差。
香港的投资公民很看不起很多在银行打工的主任。 比如：我自己的老板，他最近想要租的屋子被拒绝原因是因为那屋子的主人觉得他将失业的机会很高。 他妈的。
除了在上班时会觉得有压力， 回到家也不会缺。
有时候在我方工后最relaxed的一刻，会有几个很耐烦将会毕业的朋友突然间铃个电话给我。
一般的辩论在头会问我好吗？
经常带着笑容的我一定说心情还满好。
天真的我怎么会觉得好久没联络我的朋友会多么关心我。

40 years has passed since the day blood was shed. I don't know how many of you fellow malaysians remembered this day but I'm glad i wasn't born during that era.
There will be a lof of "if only" if that day didn't happen.
To begin with, the biggest change is the introduction of NEP
then there came IDP australia,
then Dr.M allowed private colleges to be set up
then there came mara scholarship
then there came A.P
then there came MIC with their plus projects
then there came MCA with their port projects
then there came so many events which explains my presence in HK.

Well, how can 2009 ever be better than 2008?
Let us look at the bright side of life.
Why is it that having no money is better than having some or plenty.
1) More money = more taxes
Let's face it, the more you make the more taxes you pay. God knows what your money is being spent on? May it be bailouts for your competitors. The more taxes you pay, the more well off your competitors. So making more money at this time is like giving knives to your competitors to stab you soon. It doesn't matter what job you're in, as long as you are paying taxes, the government is distributing it to someone who will compete with you in the workforce. All said, paying taxes also requires time and effort so to hell with making more money.
2) Flies, Leeches, Parasites
If you were declared a bankrupt today, your life would probably be as peaceful as you wish. If you are still making big bucks, gazillion people would be sending you greeting cards and asking you out for lunch. Lame insurance agents, fund managers, aunties that want a free meal and friends who would like to bunk at your place will be bothering you as long as you can dispose off some food and accomadation.
3) Bogus Bank Rates
This is the assumption that you no longer have shares and most of your money is shitting in the bank. Goodluck to you if you still have shares. Unlike just a couple months ago, the banks offer great fixed deposit rates of 4% or more. Having money today is a pain in the ass, to earn interest from a bank is like asking your dad to give 20 cents to buy candy and because no matter how many 20 cents your bank gives you, it is still a very fucking small sum and you will never be satisfied. Checking your 20 cents interest earned from the bank at maturity date sucks, would probably be more rewarding picking up small change dropped on the streets.
4) Where are my real buddies?
Ok, so you've made good money and you are still making good money. Best things in life are shared rite? If you have money, you are probably the minority now. Your friends that aren't doing too well would have to work their butts off. So it leaves you with much disposable time with your bunch of parasites and leeches. Hah- want a beer? lets see the last reason.
5) Mushroom sluts
At times like these, girls become sluttier. So to all guys out there, don't act poor as some chick might think you are loaded. Due to the current hard times, more girls are actively seeking to change partners. Of course just a few guys are loaded with the rest pretending to be. Whatever your status, more girls would like to change partners which leaves you more room to try asking different girls out and to try out different pleasures in life.
OK! So we are now ready for 2009! embraze yourself to a better life with less money!

Wow- big news everyday.
Washington Mutual bank is officially dead and JP morgan succeeds in scrapping another precious cheap junk.
Ok, what's going on people? I've been receiving some questions about how the stock market works. Many of my friends have asked me, why are stocks in hong kong and malaysia plunging although their core business has nothing to do with the sub-prime junk bonds.
Well, let me try to answer this question about why many companies are collapsing day by day.
Yes, we have heard the saying of "focus on the core". It is very important that companies which sells a product stick to that particular product and focus on it.
The saying however is not often practised in today's big conglomerates. Many companies especially huge companies put their extra cash into investments. Take for example DAH SING bank in hong kong (stock code: 440.hk) which is a typical retail bank. Their core business is to serve small/individuals and sometimes corporate customers.
Dah Sing is a relatively small bank which generates an average of 1,250 million hong kong dollars profit after tax. It's a medium sized bank with an annual turnover of around 5 billion hong kong dollars.
Well, here's the Hoo-Haa about Dah Sing Bank. The bank has invested around 300 million dollars in Washington Mutual Bank. Now, their 300 million dollars is gone so hence for the next financial statement they will report 300 million dollars less in earnings.
It thus makes sense why the bank's stock will fall because it is now not as profitable as before with bad investments it had incured.
So my dear friends, if you are very worried about what to buy these days. Please choose co. stocks which are more stable. Of course more stable means less risk =less return.
Cancer stick stocks, electric companies, glove manufacturing, detergent comapanies or just companies which sells daily consumption products are considered safe bets. However beware, not all daily consumption product co.s are safe. Mengniu Dairy, or should i say companies which sells dairy/milk products are beeing squeezed since the outbreak of milk poisoning incidents in China. Since the outbreak of milk powder poisoning in China, Mengniu dairy stocks have fell by more than 70%.
There's no guranteed investment so put your money where you can bare the risk.

The current financial market crisis will continue for some time. Goodbye to 150 year old investmnet bank Lehman Brohers and Hallelujah to Amecan Insurance Group (AIG).
America sneezes and everyone cathces a cold, wait I should rephrase it; it's America's diarrhea and the world cathces cholera.
So the question is... where is all the money if everyone is not making any?

The mother fucking SIV/CDO investment banking traders has pocketed all the $$$ and left the world to die.
Well, those mother fuckers have been selling a financial vehicle bundle which could not sustain in anyway.
They've packaged Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mortgage loans and have sold it to institutions and individuals.
Home buyers that took a loan from FM1 and FM2 were charged an interest of about 8% and above while the packaged loan(stupid assholes who bought them) yield ""interest"" as high as 30%. Fuck this whole system, the mother fucking investment bankers knew it would not sustain and made lots of money from handling and mischallaneous charges for packaging the debt.
The homebuyers were not able to pay their debt which charged very high interest which lead to the inability for the bonds coupons to be paid to the investors.
It's just a big shit hole and no one knows how deep it is!@#$%^&*()!@!#???
So what now? The mother fuckers who sold the home buyers' debt to the world is now filthy rich sucking their fatty 36/48 months bonuses, not only that - if they fucking get fired they will still pocket a minimumn of 3 month's salary.
Let me tell you my part of working in a retail bank. Today, grandpa and grandmas all over hong kong fled to my branch pleeding for help and trying to get comfort from frontline staff. Many have invested their entire savings of about 1 to 2 millions hong kong dollars into funds from big investment banks like First Estate, JF Asset, Schroders, Invested, Fortis just to name a few. The first question that pops up is, does these funds have any investment in Lehman Brothers? only god knows.
So...after typing so much I've not really stressed any point. I'm just blogging from office purely because of the current Financial Turmoil.
Friends, Family and Foes reading this, my advise to you is- if the market(s) is stressing you out please let go all your shit.

Going back to Malaysia next week.
What will happen?
Does everyone's life just keep getting more melodramatic or he/she can determine their own faith?
To me, making small decisions in my everyday life seem more important than just thinking and working on the big ones.
My life ain't perfect but if I don't decide the little daily things in life- would it have gotten worse?
Small things like
- putting up a smile
- drinking sufficient water
- going to bed early
- doing book keeping
- reading the newspaper
- washing the dishes
- completing errands which would not get me frustrated basically
SO here's the one million dollar question to happiness aka not getting melodramatic.
What do you do when it's raining heavily outside and you are hungry + lonely?
A) stay in and cook instant noodles and enjoy the meal on the phone/msn.
B) go out and enjoy a meal with someone whom you want to share it with.
For me, being a person who would want to live life to the fullest I would choose B.
For many others A would be their ideal choice because it's practical.
Of course there are a million other circumstances and reason to not go out.
- I hate getting wet
- My mom cooked dinner
- I am tired
- I need to save money
- The traffic is terrible
- the other dinner partner might not want B
- etc.....
Well people, the truth is I don't blame people who choose A nor B. We are all human beings and we have the right to choose our preferences.
The other argument is that some people get more satisfaction by choosing A instead of B.
So the lesson in life is to not care so much about anything - whatever will be will be.
So hence after making the big decision, its more important to focus on little decisions in life since no one can stop the rain from falling or invite his/her dinner partner out.
